On May 25, 2023, LIFE Project Seminar in the field of air protection was held. The speakers and guests of the seminar were greeted by Mr. Manfred Grabelus, Director of the Department of Environmental Protection of the UMWO. The moderator of the meeting was Mr. Maciej Rojewski, Project Manager LIFE_AQP_Opolskie_2019. The following issues were discussed during the presentations:
- “The role of local governments in the fight against smog – the urban aspect of the local development plan” was presented and discussed by Dr. Eng. arch. Łukasz Pancewicz from the Gdańsk University of Technology
- “Technical aspects of conducting inspections in the field of air protection – combustion waste, laboratory testing of combustion waste” were presented by Ms. Monika Ilnicka – head of the EcoPatrol Department of the City Guard of the city of Opole and Ms. Magdalena Godziek – Specialist of the Evaluation, Expertise and Environmental Protection Section together with Mr. Wojciech Drzyzga – Head of the Solid Fuels Research Team from Centralne Laboratorium Measurement and Research Sp. z o. o. in Jastrzębie Zdrój.
The seminar was attended by Municipal POP Coordinators, co-beneficiaries of the project. It was also an opportunity to exchange experiences with the LIFE Project of the Śląskie Voivodeship www.przytwarzamyblenkit.slaskie.pl, and a large number of EkoAdvisors of the Project took part in an online seminar.
