On October 19, 2023, at the invitation of representatives from the Moravian-Silesian Energy Center, we visited Ostrava in the Moravian-Silesian Region, which is a partner of the LIFE Project – Air Quality Management System in the Opole Voivodeship.

During the meeting, the structure of MEC’s operations in Ostrava was presented, as well as the projects being implemented and supported in the fields of environmental protection, landscape conservation, the development of electromobility, and climate change.

The Opole LIFE project team comprehensively outlined the project’s goals, tasks, and activities, which are primarily aimed at increasing the capacity of local government administrations and improving air quality in the region by replacing non-ecological heating sources.
The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange experiences, discuss important issues related to legislation, blue-green infrastructure, and renewable energy sources.
The entire meeting was held in a very friendly atmosphere. We look forward to future meetings, which are very helpful in achieving the common goals of neighboring regions.
